160 Characters tells the story of one relationship over a series of text messages on an old Nokia phone. Made masterfully by Victoria Mapplebeck using an iPhone 6, she explores the highs and lows and the end of the relationship through minimal verbal narration, instead letting the text messages (limited by the old 160 characters per SMS) speak for themselves. The end result is simple, yet poignant.
It makes me think about the stories, secrets and book of regrets that we shelf away when we upgrade to a new phone and leave the old one behind.
